MULTIDIS is listed in the Swiss Commercial Register for the Canton of Vaud. It represents around twenty multi-utility distributors (water, electricity, gas, district heating and multimedia) in French-speaking Switzerland. As well as providing services internally to its members, MULTIDIS campaigns externally. Its objectives are:
to provide support to members in a context of changing legal requirements for the supply of different utilities; electricity and gas in particular. To promote understanding of legal developments and assess their impact on organisations.
to defend the majority position of members in dealings with the authorities and interest groups.
to prepare for changes in different professions, come up with adaptive measures and respond to the needs of members, in the context of defending the values of multidisciplinary and local services.
to improve and facilitate good working relations between members
